police say a woman was arrested after she stole $300 million in stolen vehicles and then sold them for more than $20 million.

In a press release Wednesday, police said 26-year-old Brittany D. O’Brien of Lowell was charged with stealing and reselling stolen vehicles.

According to the police statement, the stolen vehicles included cars, SUVs and trucks from several manufacturers.

The theft occurred between March 2017 and May 2018.

Police say O’Briens parents were in Massachusetts on vacation when she stole the vehicles.

Police said she sold the vehicles to her son, who was in Massachusetts to visit his sister.

She is scheduled to appear in court later Wednesday.
