NEW YORK — A 38-year-old Shreveports man was arrested Friday after authorities say he crashed his vehicle into a vehicle parked in a parking lot and killed two men.

The crash happened Friday afternoon in the 5000 block of New York Avenue in Shreveps, according to Shrevepys police.

The driver was not hurt and the passenger was not in the vehicle, according the Shrevepas Police Department.

Both victims died at the scene, according, the police report.

The man who was driving the vehicle was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.

Shreveport Police Department spokesman Chris Smith said it was a hit-and-run incident and it was unclear if the driver or passenger was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt, Smith said.
